Nidd Steel Buildings Ltd, one of the leading turnkey agricultural contractors in the UK, has been appointed to act as Principle Contractor on a new North Yorkshire Bulk Barn.
Nidd Steel was appointed by the Copgrove Stud, having tendered competitively, and will carry out the building work on the new Bulk Barn.
Copgrove is perhaps the most visually stunning stud farm in the North of England. From the intricate gates at the end of the mile-long main drive to the luxurious stable block, converted from traditional farm buildings, owner the late Guy Reed spared no expense in providing all the necessary facilities to make Copgrove, with its rolling, limestone-based paddocks, an ideal home for the young thoroughbred.
The Bulk Barn further strengthens the equine development at the North Yorkshire site.
The overall plan also includes a 70m gravel access road, upgraded to HGV axel loads, and surface water drainage, the galvanised steel portal framed building with single skin metal roofing and wall cladding.
John Brennan, Director of Nidd Steel stated, “We are delighted to have secured a further steel framed unit on the site and we welcome the confidence and trust demonstrated by the Stud in these on-going appointments”
