ARCHITECTURAL METALWORK

Our Architectural Steelwork Division has the ability to manufacture specialist and bespoke metalwork for architectural features, which provide both high quality functionality and aesthetic enhancement to a building. Our work includes specialist walkways, platforms, artistic frameworks and features, and we are able to work with many types of material, including steel, stainless steel, aluminium and other specialist alloys. GATES & RAILINGS

Our bespoke railings can be made and installed to your own design and specifications. Using mild steel, cast iron, stainless steel, and even incorporating glass, we cater for both residential and commercial premises. Because all railings are made to order, you will always get a design that is unique to you. Residential gates can range from standard mild steel gates to the much more ornate style, incorporating railheads and scrollwork. Cast iron and hand-forged gates and matching railings are also available

MEZZANINE FLOORS

Our mezzanine floors are individually designed and engineered to suit your specific needs.

A steel mezzanine floor or raised storage area can provide additional work areas and office space without having to enlarge your present building or relocate your business.Installation of a mezzanine floor can expand your production capacity and improve operating efficiency. You can also create additional offices or expand your retail areas and increase your net rentable areas by utilising full building heights. A mezzanine does not depend on an existing building for support and can be used as a totally free-standing structure or can be combined with your existing equipment. Our mezzanine floors are individually designed and engineered to suit your specific needs.

Where necessary, we can use our expertise to advise our customers as to how to achieve the best results for their project and assist them in designing, costing and planning their steelwork project as required.

DRAWING SERVICES

Southeast Fabrication & Welding Specialists Ltd’s Drawing Office team of experienced draughtsmen provides a full range of professional draughting and CAD drawing services, specialising in design, draughting, modelling, and architectural and engineering drawing, using industry standard X-Steel Detailing, AutoCAD and Tekla modelling software systems. Our range of draughting services also includes structural steelwork, structural steel detailing, X-Steel detailing, X-Steel draughting services, steel surveys and cladding draughting. Our aim is to provide efficient draughting, modelling, technical drawing and design assistance, combined with a highly personal approach specifically tailored to each individual customer’s requirements. We are willing to travel to a customer’s site for on-site consultations and site surveys, and to integrate into design and planning processes, including attendance at design team and co-ordination planning meetings, when required.

Site Services

Southeast Fabrication & Welding Specialists Ltd combine highly qualified steelwork erection teams with modern steelwork erection techniques and innovative Health and Safety systems to provide first-class site erection services for their customers. All our steelwork erectors and managing supervisors carry the necessary certification to satisfy the stringent requirements of all Main Contractors.

Our core employees are highly trained and all sub-contractors engaged by Southeast Fabrication & Welding Specialists Ltd undergo six-monthly quality checks in welding and other procedures in line with Health and Safety and risk management requirements. Our reliability and success in attracting qualified steel erectors and providing an experienced and flexible manpower resource for our steelwork erection contracts is demonstrated by the fact that we are consistently awarded contracts from other major steelwork contractors on an erection only’ basis. Following award of a contract, our internal Health and Safety Advisor will visit the project site a number of weeks prior to start of steelwork erection. We then produce project-specific Method Statements, including erection plans and programmes of works for approval of the Main Contractor’s site team. The Method Statement includes a very detailed description of how the work is to be carried out, together with the necessary risk assessments.

Health and Safety is paramount to Southeast Fabrication & Welding Specialists Ltd and our Safety Systems and Quick Release Lifting Shackles are examples of how we lead in the industry by using safe systems of work during steelwork erection. Our steel erectors always use Mobile Elevated Working Platforms (‘MEWPs’) on all projects, thus reducing risk at height and time spent on site. All our MEWP operatives are IPAF certified.
